    Sean O'Sullivan was a school teacher, and the head archivist of The Irish Folklore Commission, founded in 1935.

    A native Irish speaker, this title benefits immensely from O'Sullivan's intimacy with the language of the original texts, offering faithful, and engaging English translations of the tales within.

    A first edition, bound in original ivy pictorial boards, and protected with its original pictorial dust wrapper - unclipped, and in lovely condition.

    Condition

    Bound in original green cloth, with original unclipped dust wrapper. Externally, in lovely condition. Very slight rubbing to extremities. Slight rubbing to dust wrapper extremities. Closed tears to dust wrapper front spine tip and joint. Mild age toning to dust wrapper. Internally, firmly bound. Pages generally bright and clean. Small red stain to fore edge of text block, which bleeds slightly onto the pages of the bibliography
