What Our Customers Say...
Description

In the publisher's original yellow cloth binding, complete with the publisher's original unclipped dust wrapper.
A first edition copy, a later printing with the corrected “Gatesgarth” caption to the final page, indicating it’s from the first edition run but not the earliest state.
This volume is a charming collection of contemplative essays, sketches, and photographs offering rare insight into Wainwright’s creative journey and personal reflections as he crafted his famed Pictorial Guide to the Lakeland Fells.
Condition
In the publisher's original cloth binding. Externally, lovely. Slight bumping to extremities, with one or two vanishingly slight handling marks to boards. Dust wrapper, smart. Small closed tear to lower edge of front wrap. Slight age toning. The odd spot and slight soiling. The odd minor chip to extremities. One small spot of perforation to spine. Internally, firmly bound. Pages bright and clean with just the odd spot to half-title and title.
