A limited edition facsimile edition of 'Den Danske Vitruvius' by Laurids de Thurah, a monumental 18th-century architectural folio, first published in two volumes between 1746 and 1749, illustrated with engraved plates of Danish buildings, including royal castles, churches and city architecture.

Commissioned by King Christian VI, Thurah’s work draws direct inspiration from the British Vitruvius Britannicus, and documents in plan, elevation, and section a wide range of structures.

Volumes I and II are facsimiles of the original work, whole volume III includes 58 plates and ten plans, many of which are folding. This volume also includes valuable documentation about churches and official buildings in Copenhagen.
