1965 The Mind Readers
What Our Customers Say...
Description
First Edition, Original Binding, Publishers' Original Binding, With Dustwrapper
The first edition of Margery Allingham's The Mind Readers, published by Chatto and Windus in 1965.
In the publisher's original cloth, in the original unclipped dust wrapper. The eye-catching dust wrapper was designed by the author's husband, P. Youngman Carter.
The eighteenth novel in the Albert Campion series, The Mind Readers was the last Campion novel that Allingham finished before her death. Written at the height of the Cold War, Allingham merges themes of espionage and science fiction into this eerie story.
Considered as one of the four 'Queens of Crime' in the golden age of detective fiction, this work is another example of her artful humour and vivid characterisation that has helped earn her that title.
