Illustrated with a monochrome frontispiece to 'Volume I', monochrome vignettes and one hundred and sixty-one monochrome plates over the two volumes. Collated, complete. 

A complete two volume set, including all nine parts from the original work.

This botanical work was written by Sir Arthur George Tansley, an influential English botanist. The work provides details on the vegetation found on the British Islands, with Tansley being the founding member of the 'Central Committee for the Survey and Study of British Vegetation', the first professional society of ecologists.
