Written by British and American novelist and screenwriter Ruth Prawer Jhabvala, who is best known for her collaboration with Merchant Ivory Productions, where she wrote screenplays for films including 'A Room With a View' and 'Shakespeare Wallah', as well as her a film adaptation of her own novel, 'The Householder'.
'Like Birds Like Fishes' is a collection of eleven short stories, most of which are set in India's more urban areas, with a strong focus on community.

In the publisher's original red cloth binding with the original, unclipped dust wrapper. Externally, lovely, with minor shelf wear and one mark to the rear board. Dust wrapper is lightly soiled with light edge wear, but is otherwise excellent. Internally, firmly bound. Pages bright and clean throughout.
