In the original unclipped first state dust wrapper.

'The IPCRESS File' was Len Deighton's first spy novel. The thrilling espionage novel revolves around Cold War brainwashing, with scenes in Lebanon and on an island for a United States atomic bomb test.

Len Deighton is one of the top spy novelists of his time, alongside Ian Fleming and John le Carre. As well as being an author, he followed many other pursuits during his career; these include being the cookery writer for 'The Observer and publishing cookbooks, being the travel editor of 'Playboy', and being a film producer.

Condition

In the original publisher's cloth binding, in the unclipped dust wrapper. Externally, smart. Light bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities. Some edge wear to the dust wrapper, resulting in small chips and closed tears, chipping heavier to the head and tail of the spine. Light marks to the wraps. Neat tape repairs to the reverse of the dust wrapper. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean.
