This work was written by Australian social anthropologist and professor Ronald Murray Berndt. Berndt often worked alongside his wife, working among the Aboriginal Australians and the natives of New Guinea. This work was written as a report on his field work he undertook, along with his wife, in the Eastern Central Highlands of New Guinea.
Condition
In the publisher's original cloth with the original unclipped dust wrapper. Externally very smart with bumping to the tail of the spine resulting in a closed tear to the cloth. The wrap is generally very smart with bumping to the spine, light chipping, creasing and rubbing to the extremities. Light spotting to the fly leaves and spotting to the reverse. Light offsetting to the end papers. Internally firmly bound with clean and bright pages with only the odd light spot. Light spotting to the fore edge.
