Christie's thrilling mystery follows the narrator Mark Easterbrook as he investigates a list of names and the death of a Catholic Priest. With a small appearance from Christie's novelist detective Ariadne Oliver.

This novel is notable among Christie's books as it is credited with having saved at least two lives, after readers recognised the symptoms of thallium poisoning from the description in the book.

In the publisher's original cloth binding, with unclipped dust wrapper. Externally, fine. Light rubbing to fold over front joint of dust wrapper. Two minor closed tears to back strip tail. Internally, firmly bound. Pages clean and bright.
