First edition. Illustrated throughout. Written in blank verse, this collection of poetry is an autobiography describing the author's earliest memories of a middle-class home in London, through to his departure from the University of Oxford. The work was adapted into a television film in 1976. Written by John Betjeman, an English poet, writer, and broadcaster who was poet laureate from 1972 until his death in 1984. Illustrated by Michael Tree, a British artist and illustrator.
Condition
In the original green cloth binding. Externally, very smart with light shelf wear and minor bumping to the extremities. Original unclipped dust wrapper is also very smart with light shelf wear and minor chipping. Sunning to the spine and the odd small mark to the board. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean throughout.
