The first edition, first impression, in the publisher's original price unclipped dust wrapper.
A collection of personal and intimate autobiographical blank verse poems by noted Poet Laureate John Betjeman.
These poems relay his life from his early memories of a middle-class home in Edwardian Hampstead, London, to his premature departure from Magdalen College, Oxford.
With the inscription, 'for Don Symons with good wishes' from 'Harvey-Taylor', dated 1965, to the half title.
Condition
In the publisher's original cloth binding, with price unclipped dust wrapper. Externally, fine. Spotting to endpapers. Dust wrapper age toned to back strip, with light spotting to perimeters of front wrap, and head of front wrap age toned. Inscription to half title. Internally, firmly bound. Pages bright and generally clean, with only the odd spot.
