    The first edition of this work in the publisher's original cloth binding, with the original unclipped dust wrapper.

    Previous owner's stamp to the front paste down.

    Illustrated with a monochrome frontispiece and nine plates of monochrome photographs. Collated, complete.

    One of Evelyn Waugh's travel works; a fascinating account of the acclaimed author's travels to East and Central Africa as he toured the continent from January to April. His sharp eye for oddity makes this volume a highly entertaining and interesting read.

    Condition

    In the publisher's original cloth binding, with the original unclipped dust wrapper. Externally, cloth is in excellent condition. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean. Dust wrapper is smart and generally bright, with just a little sunning to the spine and faint marks to the rear of the wrap.
