With outlines of early migration and the basic features of ancient social and political organisations. Written by George Vernadsky, a Russian-born American historian and an author of numerous books on Russian history.

Condition

In the original blue cloth binding. Externally, very smart with light wear to the extremities only. Original unclipped dust wrapper is also smart with light wear and the odd small closed tear to the extremities. Sunning to the spine and panel edges with the odd small mark. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright with the odd small spot. Light spotting to the endpapers. Contemporary ink inscription to the front endpaper.
