Originally published as an essay in Harper's Bazaar in 1953, in this piece Steinbeck describes the charm and beauty of Positano, focusing on its atmosphere, the warmth of its people, and its picturesque setting on the Amalfi Coast.
He says of Positano that it 'is a dream place that isn't quite real when you are there and becomes beckoningly real after you have gone'.
Condition
In the publisher's original paper wraps. Back strip and wrap perimeters a touch age toned, with light spotting to perimeters of rear wrap. Internally, binding lightly strained. Pages clean and bright.
