This travel work was written by Wilfred Thesiger, the British explorer and military officer. This biographical work provides an account of the author's travels through the Arabian Peninsula after World War Two, from 1945 to 1950.
Today this work is considered to be a classic of travel literature, with the author providing a unique insight into the lives of the Bedu people, and other natives of the peninsula.
Condition
In the publisher's original cloth and the original unclipped dust wrapper. Externally lovely. The wrap is very smart with sunning to the spine, handling marks, and slight rubbing to the extremities. Offsetting to the endpapers. Internally generally firmly bound with pp. x disbound but present, with bright and generally clean pages with only occasional light spotting.
