'Moominland Midwinter', originally published in Swedish as 'Trollvinter', is the sixth of Tove Jansson's Moomins books.

This novel has a slightly darker, more introspective than the earlier books in the series. Moomintroll wakes in the midst of hibernation, and finds himself unable to get back to sleep. Lonely at first without his family, Moomintroll explores the land of winter which he has never seen before, and encounters new friends.

Illustrated with one map, and many in-text illustrations throughout, drawn by the author.

Jansson's Moomin series begun in 1945 with the book 'The Moomins and the Great Flood'.

Condition

In the original publisher's cloth binding, in the original unclipped dust wrapper. Externally, smart. Light fading to the extremities and to the spine. Very light bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities. Spots to the fore edge and endpapers. Dust wrapper is edge worn with chips to the head and tail of the wraps and spine. Spine is a little sunned. Some minor marks and discolouration to the wraps, including some spots to the reverse. A few neat tape repairs to the reverse of the dust wrapper. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and generally clean with scattered spots, mostly to the firs and last few pages.
