    Illustrated, Publishers' Original Binding, With Dustwrapper

    A 1958 edition of Rudyard Kipling's charming collection of short stories for children.

    First published in 1902.

    In the original, unclipped dust wrapper.

    One of Rudyard Kipling's best known works, this delightful collection started as bedtime stories he told to his daughter, Josephine. The stories appear as origin stories of various animals, presenting humorous accounts of how various features came into being, such as how a leopard got its spots.

    Wonderfully illustrated by the author throughout.

    Condition

    Bound in the publisher's red cloth, in the original, unclipped dust wrapper. Externally, lovely, with minor shelf wear and the odd mark. A few faint spots to the fore edge. Dust wrapper is also excellent, with light edge wear and the odd mark. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean.
