This work takes place between May 1821 and October 1823. Hornblower has been promoted to rear-admiral and given command of the West Indies Station with a squadron consisting of three frigates and fourteen brigs and schooners.
Condition
In the publisher's original cloth binding, with unclipped dust wrapper. A touch of shelf wear to back strip tail, otherwise externally fine. A touch of spotting to endpapers. Light spotting to dust wrapper reverse and flyleaves, with clear tape repairs to dust wrapper reverse at back strip head and tail, and head of front flyleaf fold. Significant closed tear to back strip head, with minor losses of paper to back strip head and tail. Internally, firmly bound. Pages clean and bright.
