    First Edition, Illustrated, Publishers' Original Binding

    A bright collection of seven issues from the popular 'Boy's Own Paper', which together make the complete serial run of Captain W. E. Johns' air-adventure story, 'Biggles Buries the Hatchet'. Predating the first book edition published on 8th September 1958. 

    Includes Vol. 80 No. 6 - 12 (March-September 1958). 

    In the publisher's original illustrated wraps.

    Other notable contributions to these issues include stories from William Brockie, Arthur Catherall and Leonard Gribble, as well as articles on sports, crafts, world news, chess problems and book reviews. 

    Also included is a eighteen-page stapled booklet titled The Rivals of 'Eagle', which looks at competing publications to Hulton Press's influential comic.

    Condition

    In the publisher's wraps. Externally, smart, with mild edge wear and . Pencilled number to each of the wraps. Handling marks visible to the lighter wraps. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are marginally age toned, but clean.
