Two volumes. Written by Kenneth Patchen, an American poet and novelist likened to William Black and Walt Whitman for his experimentation with different forms of writing and incorporation of painting, drawing, and jazz music into his works. This set contains: Poemscapes, 1958. A collection of poetry including titles such as: My Journey's Journeying, The Little Essays, and The Blind Washerwoman, amongst others. Aflame and Afun of Walking Faces, 1970. A collection of fables and drawings, with titles including: The Historian of Orchards, The Dolt and the Pretty Damsel, and The Wolf that Cried Ohboy Ohboy.
Condition
In the original card wraps. Externally, excellent. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean throughout. A contemporary ink inscription to the front endpaper of volume one.
