‘The Ordeal of Gilbert Pinfold’ is a largely autobiographical novel, based off the author’s period of hallucinations caused by bromide intoxication.

Evelyn Waugh was a noted English author of the twentieth century, best known for his novel ‘Brideshead Revisited’ and ‘A Handful of Dust’.

Condition

In the original publisher's cloth binding, in the original unclipped dustwrapper. Externally, fine, with a very faint mark to the rear board. Dustwrapper is near fine with a very small closed tear to the head of the front wrap, and a couple of handling marks to the rear wrap. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean.
