This edition of the works, printed by Oxford in a larger format on India paper, was first published in 1954.
Bound in full crushed morocco by Hatchards Ltd with a binder's signature to the front pastedown.
Printed on India paper.
This volume features the complete collected works by the celebrated William Shakespeare. The work includes Shakespeare's most popular plays including 'Romeo and Juliet', 'Macbeth' and 'The Tempest' along with his sonnets and a preface by W. J. Craig.
Condition
Bound in full crushed morocco. Externally very smart with bowing to the boards, fading to the spine, the odd slight minor mark to the boards and slight cracking to the tail of the front joint. The odd minor mark to the leather to the endpapers and binder's signature to the front pastedown. Internally firmly bound with the odd spot, heavier to the front blanks, and generally bright pages with occasional light creasing due to the delicacy of the India paper and the odd minor pencil notation.
