Description
First Edition, Original Binding, Publishers' Original Binding, With Dustwrapper
First UK edition, originally published in the US in 1956. A Cool and Lam novel. When John Dittmar Ansel asks Cool and Lam to track down a man named Karl who, six years earlier on his honeymoon in Paris, once gave him a good idea for a story, Lam smells a rat. A little research quickly reveals that Mr. Ansel is not a writer, and that the search for Karl may lead them down a much darker path. Written by Erle Stanley Gardner, under the pen name A. A. Fair, an American author and lawyer, best known for the Perry Mason series of legal detective stories.
