The second edition of this work in the publisher's original cloth binding, with the very scarce original unclipped dust wrapper.

Two library bookplates to the front paste down. Stamp to the title page, to the verso of the title page and to page 833.

The second edition of the first Icelandic-English Dictionary, initiated by Richard Cleasby, and revised, enlarged and completed by Guðbrandur Vigfússon. This edition contains a supplement by Sir William A. Craigie.

Condition

In the publisher's original cloth binding, with the original unclipped dust wrapper. Externally, smart. Touch of fading to the head and tail of the spine. Mark to the bottom edge of the textblock. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean. Dust wrapper is generally smart though sunned, with two marks, one to the spine and one to the rear of the wrap. 10cm tear and a little creasing to the rear of the wrap. 5cm tear and a little creasing to the tail of the spine of the wrap, with a small loss to the head of the spine.
