First edition. Very scarce work. A strongly analytic description of the effects of lysergic acid (LSD) use, being an account of the author’s six trips on LSD between 1954 and 1955, supervised by a doctor whom he calls Dr. X. Ward made rough notes of his experiences as they occurred with copious quotations of these notes throughout the text, with considerable differences between each experiment. Written by Richard Heron Ward, a British actor, playwright, director, broadcaster and author, active from the early 1930s.
Condition
In the original full cloth binding. Externally, smart with minor rubbing to the extremities and light fading to the spine. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright with the odd small spot. Minor age toning to the endpapers.
