In the original unclipped dust wrapper.
The first novel in Wyndham Lewis' 'Human Age', trilogy, which was followed by 'Monstre Gai' and 'Malign Fiesta'.
'Childermass' is set in a purgatorial afterlife, following two young Englishmen, who are presumably killed during World War One.
Illustrated with three plates, by Michael Ayrton.

Condition
In the original publisher's cloth binding, in the original unclipped dust wrapper. Externally, generally smart, with marks to the cloth. Spine is a little faded, with minor bumping to the head and tail. Minor edge wear to the dust wrapper, with small chips to the head and tail of the spine. Age-toning to the spine and extremities. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean.
