What Our Customers Say...

Description

An Important Work, First Edition, Publishers' Original Binding, With Dustwrapper

First trade edition.

In 1924, Lawrence enlisted in the British Royal Air Force. This volume comprises his memoirs during that time, written in a diary he kept to record the lives of enlisted men. The book was left unpublished until after the author's death at his own wish, due to the people mentioned in the writings. Lawrence personality really comes through in this sparse prose.

With later notes by A/C Ross.

With original dustwrapper, pricing still present.

Condition

In the publisher's original blue cloth binding with titles stamped in gilt to spine. Externally very smart with minor shelfwear and slight bumping to head and tail of spine. Spine has slightly faded. Signed by previous owner to front free endpaper. Dustwrapper is very smart with slight shelfwear with slightly sunned spine. Clipped in three corners with pricing still visible. Internally, firmly bound. The odd spot to fore edge, not affecting pages which are otherwise bright and clean.
