What Our Customers Say...
Description
First Edition, Illustrated, Publishers' Original Binding, Very Scarce, With Dustwrapper
Translated from the original Swedish by Thomas Warburton.
The first UK edition, first impression, in the very scarce publisher's original price unclipped dust wrapper.
Illustrated throughout with the charming illustrations of Jansson herself.
First published in the original Swedish the year prior, under the title 'Farlig Midsommar'.
The fifth work in the beloved Moomin series, in this work a volcanic eruption causes Moominvalley to flood, forcing the Moomins to seek refuge aboard a floating theatre.
A major theme of the work is the infuriating and rewarding nature of theatre.
