Henri Pourrat (1887–1959) was a French writer celebrated for his literary exploration of rural folklore and traditions of central France.
Yves Brayer (1907–1990) was a renowned French painter and illustrator known for his vibrant landscapes and scenes.
This edition features nine full page colour illustrations, including a frontispiece. Collated, complete.
Condition
In the publisher's original wraps, with fly leaves. Externally, generally smart. Wraps typically age toned. The odd slight handling mark and one or two minor damp spots. Slight soiling to wraps. Slight rubbing and bumping to extremities resulting in one or two creases. Creasing to spine. Joints and hinges a little strained in places, but holding firm. Internally, firmly bound. Pages bright and clean.
