These studies were based on archival work, which had not been a strong feature of previous connoisseurship.

Adorned with a monochrome frontispiece and two hundred and thirty two illustrations to the rear. 

Condition

In the original cloth binding. Externally, very smart. With minor shelf wear and slight fading to the spine. Marks to the boards. Internally, firmly bound with bright and clean pages.
