What Our Customers Say...

Description

First Edition, Original Binding, Publishers' Original Binding, With Dustwrapper

The first edition of the work. In the original unclipped dust wrapper.

In publisher's original black cloth.

A delightful novel from the Welsh poet and writer Dylan Thomas, unfinished due to his death.

The story is written in a shrewd, sly, deadpan vein of picaresque comedy, about the character Samuel Bennet, who runs away from his home in Wales to seek his fortune in London. Samuel becomes interlaced with a whimsical assortment of odd characters, all while his finger is stuck in an ale bottle.

Condition

In publisher's original cloth binding. In the original unclipped dust wrapper. Externally, excellent. Minor bumping to head and tail of the spine. Slight spotting to endpapers. Dust wrapper is smart. Wrapped in PVC film protector. Spotting to wrap with sunning to extremities. Chipping to body and head of spine. Shelf wear to tail of spine. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are clean and bright with light age toning to edges and slight spotting, most significant to the front and rear of the work.
