    First editions, first impressions of two charming children's adventure novels from Captain W. E. Johns, author of the popular Biggles novels.

    In the publisher's original dust wrappers, with Unlimited unclipped, and Bound clipped but retaining price.

    These volumes  - Adventure Bound (1955) and Adventure Unlimited (1957) - both follow Tommy, Digger, Pompey and Batty as they search for treasure in south America.

    Illustrated with a frontispiece by Douglas Relf, and further vignette and full page illustrations, to each volume.

    Former owner's inscription to front free endpaper of Bound, and front pastedown and half title of Unlimited, and to dust wrapper rear wrap of Unlimited.

    Condition

    In the publisher's original cloth bindings with dust wrappers, with Unlimited unclipped, and Bound clipped but retaining price. Light shelf wear to back strip tails, otherwise externally excellent. Inscription to front free endpaper of Bound, and front pastedown and half title of Unlimited. Losses of paper to dust wrapper back strip head and tail, and to head and tail of front wrap of Unlimited. Inscription to Unlimited rear wrap. Edgewear to wrap perimeters. Tape to back strip reverse of Unlimited. Internally, firmly bound. Pages bright and generally clean, with only the odd spot to page perimeters. Spotting to text block fore edges.
