1954 Tom's Time-Machine
What Our Customers Say...
Description
First Edition, Illustrated, Very Scarce, With Dustwrapper
The first edition.
Very scarce work.
With the original, unclipped dust wrapper.
This entertaining science-fiction novel was written with children and young adults in mind, directed at "all modern boys and girls with lively imaginations".
The story surrounds the notion of time travel, with a young boy named Tom being the son of an inventor who produces a time-travelling bicycle. Tom and his father decide to experiment with the past, having many adventures, although worryingly, almost getting isolated in various periods.
Written by Guy Daniel.
Illustrated by Australian artist, Nancy Sayer, with three monochrome plates and a coloured frontispiece. Collated, complete.
Condition
Bound in the publisher's cloth, with the original, unclipped dust wrapper. Externally, lovely, with minor bumping to the head and tail of the spine and a little offsetting to endpapers. Dust wrapper is very good indeed, with light edge wear and the odd closed tear to the head and tail of the spine. The odd mark to wrap. Internally, firmly bound with bright, clean pages.
