The London Magazine has a history stretching back to the early eighteenth century; this incarnation of it is the fourth, and was endorsed by T. S. Eliot and edited by John Lehmann.
This is the first volume of the first series of Lehmann's incarnation of the magazine, which still runs presently.
Containing writings by T. S. Eliot, Hugo Charteris, Elizabeth Jennings, Thom Gunn, Harvey Breit, William Plomer and Elizabeth Bowen, amongst others.
A smart copy of this important journal.
Condition
In the publisher's original paper wraps. Externally generally smart, with a little rubbing to the spine and edges; rear cover has some discolouration, and front cover is a little faded. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean.
