Limited edition. This edition for subscribers in Great Britain has been limited to 1000 copies. This is copy number 718. First published in 1894. An immensely entertaining and colourful work creating authentic scenes of Jewish life in London. Written by Israel Zangwill, a British author at the forefront of cultural Zionism during the 19th century. Illustrated by Henk Krijger, a Dutch artist, sculptor, typographer, mosaicist and illustrator.

Condition

In the original green cloth binding. Externally, lovely condition. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean throughout. Slip case not issued with work, generally smart with slight wear to extremities. Overall very neat.
