It’s a harrowing first-person account of Anthony Charles Faramus, a Channel Islander who endured incarceration during the German occupation, detained alongside double agent Eddie Chapman, better known by his codename "Agent Zigzag", followed by deportation to concentration and transit camps including Fort de Romainville, Buchenwald, and Mauthausen.
Anthony Faramus (1920–1990) was also an actor, hairdresser, and author of a later memoir titled Journey into Darkness (1990).

In the publisher's original cloth binding. Externally, very smart. Slight rubbing to extremities. Offsetting to endpapers. Dust wrapper, generally smart. Clipped. Offsetting from tape repair to head of spine. Slight loss to head of spine. One or two chips to head and tail of spine. Slight rubbing and bumping to extremities. Internally, firmly bound. Pages bright and clean if slightly age toned. One or two spots to fore edge.
