    A bright example of Eliot's popular comic verse play, which was first performed at the 1953 Edinburgh Festival before being published the following year.

    This amusing yet touching play surrounds a wealthy entrepreneur who attempts to smuggle his illegitimate son into his household under the pretence of acting as his "confidential clerk".

    Condition

    In the publisher's original cloth binding, with unclipped dust wrapper. Externally, fine. Dust wrapper sunned to back strip, with small loss to back strip head. Small closed tear to head of fold over rear joint. Wraps bright. Internally, firmly bound. Pages clean and bright.
