Aesop was a storyteller who is thought to have lived in ancient Greece around the 6th century BCE. He is best known for his collection of fables featuring anthropomorphic animals that illustrate moral lessons of honesty, wisdom and kindness. These fables have become enduring classics, continuing to be shared with generation after generation.
Condition
In the publisher's original pictorial hardback. Externally, very smart. Slight bumping and rubbing to extremities. Front joint split two inches at head and slightly at tail, but holding firm. The odd spot to illustrated endpapers. Dust wrapper, generally smart. Unclipped. The lower corner of the front panel has been repaired with paper with the same print as the dust wrapper. Three small closed tears, reinforced with tape. Slight age toning and one or two spots. Internally, firmly bound. Pages bright and clean with the odd spot to fore edge.
