John Cheever, sometimes called the "Chekhov of the suburbs", was an American short story writer and novelist who often used the settings of the Upper East Side of Manhattan,; the Westchester suburbs and old New England villages.
This collection includes fourteen of his short stories, including 'Goodbye my Brother', 'Torch Song' and 'The Summer Farmer', among others.

In the original cloth binding. With the original clipped dust wrapper. Externally, very smart, with slight rubbing and bumping to the spine head and tail. Dust wrapper is chipped to the spine, with other signs of minor wear to the top and bottom of the joints. Handling marks to the wrap. Internally, firmly bound with bright and clean pages.
