Illustrated with a monochrome frontispiece and seven monochrome plates. Collated, complete. 

The second collection of articles from 'The Observer' between February 1951 and March 1955 from Sackville-West's weekly gardening column in the Observer. Vita Sackville-West was a successful novelist, poet and journalist of the twentieth century. She is best known for being a garden designer and the inspiration for 'Orlando' by Virginia Woolf, who was her lover. 

In the publisher's original cloth with the original unclipped dust wrapper.

Condition

In the publisher's original cloth with the original unclipped dust wrapper. Externally excellent with only minimal rubbing and bumping to the extremities. Light offsetting to the endpapers. The wrap is worn with sunning and loss to the head of the spine, light handling marks, and the odd chip to the extremities. Internally firmly bound with clean and bright pages.
