Graham Greene was an English writer and journalist, regarded by many as the leading English novelist in the twentieth century. He was shortlisted for the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1966 and 1967, and was awarded with the Shakespeare prize in 1968, and the Jerusalem Prize in 1981. In his novels, Graham likes to explore morality and politics in the modern world. He converted to Catholicism in 1926 as he met his wife-to-be, however later described himself as a "Catholic agnostic."
