The second impression of this work, published the year after the first. In the publisher's original unclipped dust wrapper.

With a frontispiece and vignette illustrations from George Brook, printed in two colours.

In this novel, the Secret Seven build a tree house to escape the summer heat, and inside meet a dirty boy and his injured kitten. The boy gives them clues to a mystery involving a mail heist.

Signed examples of Blyton's 'Secret Seven' series are scarce.

Condition

In the publisher's original cloth binding, with unclipped dust wrapper. Externally, fine. Spotting to text block fore edge. Inscription to front free endpaper. Significant losses of paper to dust wrapper back strip head and tail, with closed tears to centre of back strip. Small closed tears and the odd chip to wrap heads and tails, with significant edgewear to tail of front wrap. Light handling marks to front wrap. Internally, firmly bound. Pages bright and generally clean, with only the odd spot to page perimeters.
