First edition. Illustrated with a frontispiece, eleven images across four plates, and eight maps and plans, two of which are folding. Collated complete. A detailed military history of the Worcestershire Regiment, a line infantry regiment in the British Army, formed in 1881 under the Childers Reforms by the amalgamation of the 29th (Worcestershire) Regiment of Foot and the 36th (Herefordshire) Regiment of Foot. This work follows their role in the aftermath of the First World War from 1922, as part of the 1st Rhine Brigade of the British Army of the Rhine from 1926 to 1928, during the Second World War, until the year 1950. Written by William Riddell Birdwood, a British Army officer.
Condition
In the original full cloth binding. Externally, excellent. Original price-clipped dust wrapper is smart with light wear and minor chipping to the extremities. The odd small mark to the panels. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright with the odd small spot, predominantly to the fore-edge.
