The complete first and third series of 'Australia in the War of 1939-1945', in a total of eleven volumes. The first series focuses on the army, the third on aviation.
All but two of the volumes are first editions; both 'South-West Pacific Area-First Year' and 'Air War Against Germany and Italy' are the second edition.
Each volume is in its original dust wrapper, all unclipped except for 'South-West Pacific Area-First Year', which is price-clipped.
An important set published by the Australian War Memorial, in order to commemorate Australia's involvement in World War Two. In total, twenty-two volumes were published, from 1951 to 1977.

In the original publisher's cloth binding, each volume is in its original dust wrapper, all unclipped except for 'South-West Pacific Area-First Year', which is price-clipped. Externally, smart. Very light shelf wear to the head and tail of the spines. Only a few very light marks to the boards. Bookseller's label to the front paste downs. Light edge wear to the dust wrappers, heavier to 'Greece, Crete, and Syria', which is worn with tape repairs. Spines are a little sunnred, again heavier to 'Greece, Crete, and Syria'. Light handling marks to the wraps. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean.
