A mixed-edition set of six volumes from the popular 'Biggles' series of adventure books for young readers, written by English novelist and First World War pilot, W. E. Johns.

Including the first edition of 'Biggles Flies to Work'. 

Complete with the original dust wrappers. 'Flies Again' and '266' are price-clipped. 

A prolific series, the stories centre around title character and hero, James Charles Bigglesworth, better known by his nickname "Biggles". 

Comprising the following titles:

Biggles Air Detective (1952) 

Biggles Flies Again (1961) - Undated, dated from the British Library 

Biggles Pioneer Air Fighter (1961) - Undated, dated from the British Library 

Biggles and the Black Peril (1961) - Undated, dated from the British Library 

Biggles of 266 (1962) 

Biggles Flies to Work (1963) - First edition

Condition

In the original cloth binding. With the original dust wrappers. 'Flies Again' and '266' are price-clipped. With clear protective wrappers adhered to 'Flies Again' and 'Black Pearl'. Dust wrapper taped firmly to rear board of 'Pioneer'. Externally, very smart, with really only shelf wear. Fading to the board edges of 'Flies Again' and 'Black Pearl'. Dust wrappers are edge worn, with a closed tear to the front cover of 'Flies to Work'. Chipping to the spine head and tail of 'Air Detective'. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are age toned, but clean, with only offsetting to the endpapers of '266'.
