    Rebound in full cloth. 

    To the rear are six plates featuring facsimiles of the subsidy rolls discussed. 

    An intriguing historical analytical study of these two manuscripts, which offer insight into the methods of taxation in medieval England. 

    With an introduction, commentaries, and indices of taxpayers by Eilert Ekwall, a Swedish academic and one of the stand-out scholars of the English language in the first half of the 20th century. 

    Condition

    Rebound in full cloth. Externally, very smart, with light rubbing and bumping to the extremities. Internally, firmly bound with bright and clean pages. Small contemporary ink inscription to the half title page.
