'The Wind in the Willows' is a children's tale beloved by many. It is adventurous and mystical, with its four main characters being anthropomorphised animals; Mole, Rat, Mr Toad, and Mr Badger.
Illustrated with a colour frontispiece, and eleven colour plates, by Arthur Rackham. Collated, complete.
Kenneth Grahame is most famous for this children's classic, which he wrote after retiring from his job at the Bank of England. Though working at the bank, he often published stories in various periodicals, with some of them being published in collections, such as 'The Golden Age', and 'Pagan Papers'.

In a quarter morocco binding with decorative paper to the boards, with renewed endpapers, in a custom chemise and custom slipcase. Externally, fine. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean. Slipcase is a little faded, in a near fine condition. Chemise is in a fine condition.
