Containing fourteen comics featuring Pogo. First serialised in newspapers. Written and illustrated by Walt Kelly, an animator and cartoonist, best known for Pogo. He began his career at Walt Disney Studios, contributing to Pinocchio, Fantasia and Dumbo.

Pogo follows the adventures of Pogo the Possum and his friends, including Albert the Alligator and Howland Owl. The strip reflected Kelly's liberal and humanistic politics. 

A smart first edition of this collection of humorous comics.

Condition

In the publisher's original paper wraps. Externally smart with creasing to the extremities. Slight loss to the wrap. Internally firmly bound. Pages generally clean with age toning due to paper used. Minor chipping to extremities of first two leaves.
