Comprising the following 'Famous Five' titles from English children's writer, Enid Blyton, both of which take place on Kirrin Island, the home of George:
'Five Run Away Together' - The third book in the series. The group arrives in Kirrin Cottage to stay with George for the holidays when suddenly they must be cared for by Aunt Fanny's temporary cook, Mrs. Stick, who is accompanied by her husband and their tiresome son Edgar.
'Five on Kirrin Island Again' - The sixth novel in the series. George's father, Uncle Quentin, locks himself away on the island to carry out scientific experiments, much to the group's dismay, who wished to visit for their school holidays.
Condition
In the original cloth bindings. Externally, very smart, with bumping to the extremities. Spine slightly cocked to 'Run Away Together' and marks to the rear boards of both. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and generally clean, with contemporary ink inscriptions to the front endpapers. With light spotting affecting the first and last couple leaves of 'Run Away Together'.
