The first edition of these two works, spiralbound, in the publisher's original pictorial paper wraps.
Two pop-up books, exploring the culture and history of American cowboys and Native Americans, by Edward Joseph Dreany (1908-1961), a well-known illustrator of magazines and children's adventure novels.
Colourful illustrations accompany the informative text, and there are five pop-up scenes to each volume, all in excellent working order.
Condition
Spiralbound, in the publisher's original pictorial paper wraps. Externally, bright and generally smart, with shelf wear to the extremities. Closed tear to the front of the wraps to 'Indians', amateurly repaired with tape. Small losses to the head and tail of the spines. A little creasing to the rear of the wraps. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean except for the odd mark. Small crease to the arm of the cowboy to the first pop-up in 'Cowboys'. All pop-ups are in excellent working order.
